Engelszell Abbey - Austria"s only Trappist monastery in Engelhartszell: A picturesque church with a striking tower dominates the surroundings. The building is surrounded by lush greenery, with trees and shrubs that create an idyllic impression. A well-tended lawn stretches out in front of the church, with seating areas that invite you to take a stroll. The architecture of the building hints at its historical significance and blends harmoniously into the natural surroundings.

Natural spectacles & adventures

Schlögener Donaublick - viewpoint & rest area in Haibach ob der Donau: A large, narrow object with a fan-shaped or flower-shaped design stands in the centre of a roofed platform. Behind it stretches a wide landscape with mountains on the horizon. The sky is blue with scattered clouds. Railings run along both sides, allowing a view of the vista.

Natura 2000 area "FFH area Upper Danube and Aschach Valley" in Engelhartszell: A mountainous landscape with dense forest and high cliffs. The vegetation is lush and green, with many trees and bushes. The surface of the terrain is uneven and rocky, with some steep elevations. The sky is cloudy, which gives the scene a calm and peaceful atmosphere.
